Latest Update: Our last trip to the environmental center yielded a great harvest! We learned so much from this experience and plan to apply it to an experiment of our own in the classroom!

Class 4-6 continued working on their hydroponics experiments this week and learned more about the ecosystems maintained for aquaponics, the process of growing plants without soil while also cultivating live animals. In this case we saw a system that survived by tilapia and goldfish nutrients. 
Class 4-6 is embarking on a 6 session lab to study hydroponics, the science of growing plants without using soil. They are using the scientific method to test appropriate plants and conditions and will be applying that to problem-solving for the future of agricultural technology.
